International Projects
The scientists of the Department are involved in several multi-partner international projects mostly funded by EU programmes like Horizon Europe (the EU's research and innovation programme for 2021-2027), PRIMA (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area, 2018-2028), Horizon 2020 (EU's research and innovation programme for 2014-2020). Other projects were funded by LIFE (the EU's funding instrument for the environment and climate action since 1992), INTERREG (funding instrument that strengthens cooperation between regions and countries within the EU), and other programmes.
The table below provides a schematic overview of the recent and current projects, with particular focus on the main topics addressed and on the extra-European partnerships.
Projects funded by Horizon Europe, PRIMA, and Horizon 2020 typically have up to 15 to 20 partners, mostly European, and a total budget of few to ten millions EURO. The Department collaborates to the projects, either as partner or as general project coordinator, through the work of its scientists. For each project the table below indicates the principal investigator among those involved at the Department level. Please contact her/him to obtain further information.
