The Department of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Sassari is the only one in the Sardinia region (Italy).

The Department offers four three-year degrees (Bachelor’s degrees). Two degrees take place at the headquarters in Sassari, one focuses on the study of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies and the other one on Agro-Zootechnical Sciences. The remaining two bachelor’s degrees are in Forestry and Environmental Sciences, in the city of Nuoro, and Viticultural, Oenological and Food Technologies, in the city of Oristano.

Two Master's degrees are also active in Sassari. They represent the natural continuation of the three-year bachelor’s degrees held in Sassari, although they are independent and can be accessed also by students having other 3-year degrees. One is called Agricultural Systems, and the other one is called Animal Production Sciences. The latter can also be taken as an International Master's Degree Course in collaboration with the University of Evora, in Portugal. A Master's degree in Forestry and Environmental Systems takes place in Nuoro, and a Master's degree in Food Quality and Safety is held in Oristano. Our program includes also an inter-university Master's degree in Viticultural and Enological Sciences. In addition, the Department is strongly committed to the interdepartmental 3-year bachelor’s degree in Security and International Cooperation.

The Department has developed many international collaborations to support students interested in having a formative study experience abroad through the Erasmus+, the Erasmus+ Traineeship agreements, the Ulysses program (specific for non-European countries) and through various international academic collaboration agreements. Such agreements allow students to carry out professional internships and research activities abroad, also after graduating.
